Loan Receiving Specialist

POSITION
Summary:
The Loan Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing a pipeline of loans from receipt to submission to underwriting.
This position will act on and respond to documentation and communications received within the team.
Some documents and communication will be handled within the confines of this position, while others will be assigned to the appropriate team member.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepare file for initial underwriting review.
Utilize the Loan Submission Checklist to complete a thorough review of documents to determine if file meets criteria needed to submit file to Underwriting.
Enter conditions into E3 with concise and specific language for clear understanding by the Broker/TPO partner.
Act as liaison between Stonegate Mortgage and Broker/TPO customer.
Communicate with Clients, Sales and Team Leader regarding receipt of file, completion of associated tasks, and any deficiencies noted.
Contact the Broker/TPO customer to obtain needed documentation or resolution within designated time frames.
Ensure all deficiencies have been resolved on the loan file according to compliance and credit checklists.
Clear prior to underwriting conditions in E3 of any items/deficiencies noted.
Follow up on any and all tasks within the prescribed time frame to ensure that time standards are met.
Any tasks completed outside designated time standards shall be communicated to the Team Leader.
Offer the highest level of customer service to clients.
Review the GFE for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Enter and verify loan data in the system.
Ensure loan file includes required GFE documentation.
Complete RESPA compliance check for any Disclosure/Re-Disclosure requirements.
Review TILA, GFE, and Fees for compliance.
Run and receive a successful finding for Compliance Eagle.
Enter data in E3 and issue SMC pre-disclosures.
Review GFE resolution conditions for on hold files for the GFE.
Monitor receipt of GFE resolution conditions outstanding for complete submission.
Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
OTHER FUNCTIONS Desire to take personal responsibility to complete tasks and solve problems.
Ability to perform tasks and complete projects with minimal supervision.
Represent Stonegate Mortgage Corporation in a professional manner by dressing professionally daily while in the office or when attending events.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma required; some college preferred.
Three (3) years
in customer service related industry.
Minimum two (2) years mortgage industry experience.
Case opening, processing, closing, or post-closing experience preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
