Position Overview:
Test and inspect new part prototype samples.
Organize, monitor, and maintain the test equipment and fixtures.
Oversight of regular calibration management of all laboratory equipment.
Build test fixtures and program specialized Voltech test equipment to enable testing of new parts and designs.
Build circuit boards as necessary to test new parts.
Essential Job Functions:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Working knowledge and experience of measurement and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies, and safety analyzers.
Operate assembly equipment to produce and assemble parts in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
Assist with product testing and accurately detail and report defects.
Knowledge of proper and safe packaging of products and arrange shipment in a timely manner.
Working knowledge and experience in soldering and rework of magnetic parts and assemblies.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
Ability to pack and ship.
Requirements:
Two years minimum experience as an electronic technician.
Two years minimum electronic assembly experience.
Computer knowledge of software, hardware, and networking systems.
Ability to read and clearly understand electronic and magnetic part drawings.
Other Skills/Abilities:
Experienced in the use of basic hand and power tools.
