Senior Financial System Analyst, FP&A at STAAR Surgical Company in Lake Forest, CA
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES This position will be responsible and act as subject matter expert in Planful/Host Analytics and other financial systems as directed for STAAR Surgical. This position will be responsible for all financial application activities and ad-hoc projects as detailed below. 1. Support critical business strategies, with the development implementation, expanding modules and maintenance of Planful and other software application as directed. 2. Research and develop best practices, thoughtful design and automation, refine and accelerate processes by designing workflow and system improvements. 3. Support end-user requests and training of new solutions. 4. Submit and validate financial data to ensure data is complete, consistent and accurate. 5. Develop, document and implement policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and meet change control requirements. 6. Maintain current knowledge of Planful functionality. 7. Develop meaningful visual analytic reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI to assist in data-driven decisions. 8. Participate in annual audit to provide data and reconciliations from Planful as requested. 9. Reviews and make recommendation on the usefulness of the current G/L account and other hierarchies. 10. Ensures strong attention to details and effective multitasking. 11. Participate in other ad-hoc global projects and assignments to support management reporting requirements, auditing requests, and changing needs of STAAR Surgical. 12. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION & TRAINING o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience. EXPERIENCE o Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting (including experience with revenue, margin and spending analyses) o Experience with ERP/CRM software packages, ie NetSuite Financials and/or Host Analytics SKILLS o Good understanding and application of financial principles, concepts, practices and standards o Expertise with MS Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), PowerBi / Tableau o Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources o Independent, detail oriented and diligent in self-review of work product o Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills o Team player
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
