Project Controls Specialist - ARB, Inc. at Primoris Services Corporation in Lake Forest, CA
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Interacts with managers, directors, and VPs on project controls matters regarding cost controls and project performance, and analysis and actions necessary to meet business goals Reviews actual cost reports and performs forecasts for projects using actual performance, historical data, estimated cost and other data to control funds and provides proper cost administration Reviews estimates, interprets and reorganizes to develop budgets, and physical progress trackers which establish EVM for the projects Establishes connection between the progress trackers and resource loaded P6 schedules coordinating with project schedulers Understands union ratesheets and develops labor rates across multiple disciplines as needed Interprets project controls policies and procedures and prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budget and resolves reason for variances Ensures compliance with corporate policies including Sarbanes/Oxley and provides responses to audit questions Understands different types of contracts, change orders and performs revenue forecasts under established guidelines Directs activities to meet critical deadlines with accurate and auditable data Plays and active role in hiring, developing, and managing a staff of professionals Basic
Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management Minimum 7 years of experience in construction field and project controls area The candidate must possess effective influence, relationship developing, and Leadership skills to interface effectively at all levels of the Executive administration, program, customer organizations Ability to quickly analyze and synthesize data into actionable information to assist in prudent business decision making Excellent oral and written communication skills to include executive level interaction Demonstrated ability to work with large amount of data and excellent MS Excel skills for data analysis Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking Ability to impact strategically & tactically Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead teams to results and develop talent Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet multiple commitments as expected Demonstrated experience with ViewPoint and Ecosys Risk and Opportunity analysis skills Proficiency in P6 and Power BI Excellent ability to coordinate and build rapport with all disciplines:
Program Management, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Mission Assurance, and Human Resources Existing Secret security clearance
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K

Construction & Real Estate, Engineering ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
